Fit-Out Quantity Surveyor

A leading specialist fit-out contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality commercial, hospitality, retail and workplace projects across the UK and Ireland is seeking to appoint a QS / Estimator to join its growing commercial team in Belfast.Known for delivering prestigious interior fit-out schemes for blue-chip clients, the business offers a collaborative environment, a strong project pipeline and genuine opportunities for career progression.

Your new role
As QS / Estimator, you will play a key role in both the pre-construction and commercial delivery phases of projects. Working closely with senior management, operational teams and clients, you will prepare competitive estimates, manage project costs and help ensure successful project delivery from tender stage through to final account.
Key duties will include:

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for fit-out projects
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and contract documentation
• Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Managing project costs, valuations and variations
• Producing accurate financial reports and forecasts
• Assisting with procurement and subcontractor management
• Supporting the successful commercial delivery of multiple projects
• Attending client, site and project meetings as required

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying, Estimating or combined QS/Estimator position
• Experience within fit-out, interiors, construction or specialist subcontracting
• Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software packages
• The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
• A willingness to travel occasionally throughout the UK
