First Line Manager - Stock Control

Shift patterns: Rotational - Monday - Friday 08:00-16:00 / 15:00-23:00
Location: Birmingham - B46 1DA

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a First Line Manager - Stock Control to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• To plan, co-ordinate, supervise and report upon the work activities of a team, providing effective delegation, communication, leadership, motivation, training and development
• Manage daily operational functions and directly undertake such functions as required
• Ensure cycle counts are carried out to meet contractual requirements
• Daily team briefing to include customer news, site news and review of next weeks forecasts
• Recommend and where possible, implement operational process improvements

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Good knowledge of warehouse functions and WMS
• Good organisation, communication and planning skills
• Good understanding of H&S requirements
• Results orientated with a can do attitude
• Ideally a candidate who is able to start ASAP

A recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be well-received.
