Firewall Architect - Remote Working - EU Citizens only (security reasons) - Outside IR35

Title: Firewall Architect

Duration: 6-12 Months Rolling Contract

Location: Remote Working - LUXEMBOURG - 1 or 2 days a month onsite in Luxembourg is needed)

Budget: €630 per day, all inclusive

THIS PROJECT IS OUTSIDE IR35

Client is based in Luxembourg and selected candidate must be onsite 1 or 2 days a month (non-negotiable)

Candidate must be an EU Citizen and based in an EU nation state for security reasons

We are looking for a Firewall Architect with the following experience

Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

• Strong experience with Firewall platforms (eg, Fortinet, Checkpoint, IPTABLE or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience with NetBox for infrastructure documentation and automation. (MANDATORY)
• Proficiency in automation tools, especially Ansible and AWX.
• Solid skills in Linux and bash.

Automation Experience:

• Proven track record in deploying automated Firewall solutions at scale.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating infrastructure automation workflows.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred: (BONUS)

• Certifications such as Red Hat Certified Specialist in Security: Linux, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with GitLab or equivalent for managing automation code.
