NorthumberlandFire and RescueService is currently seekingapplications for a part-time competent Firefighter vacancy within Fire Control.

On conclusion of the process,a holding pool willalsobecreated to supportbothcareer progression andtheanticipatedretirement profilein our control roomover the next12-24months.

Northumberland is the northernmost county of England, bordering Cumbria, County Durham, Tyne and Wear and the Scottish Borders. Weinviteapplications from competentcontrol Firefighters.Successfulapplicants willbe requiredto complete conversion training to ensure familiarity and understanding of NFRS processes if previously employed in another FRS or if there has been a break in service.

The successful candidatewill be expected to promote andmaintaina positive relationship with all employees and their respective trade unions in the interests of developing a climate of harmonious and constructive employee relations.

Essential criteria for the role

• You must be a competent Fire Control operativeat Firefighter level or above.
• No outstanding 'unspent' disciplinary warnings.
