Financial Reporting Accountant - Solvency II (Insurance Accountant)

Location: Haywards Heath - 1 day per week

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the production and review of financial accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
• Own the month-end close process and maintain the trial balance
• Contribute to Solvency II balance sheets and SCR calculations across multiple legal entities
• Complete Solvency II quarterly and annual returns
• Prepare monthly management information and support CFO reporting
• Liaise across departments to streamline technical data, statutory accounts, and regulatory submissions
• Play a key role in the audit process, including managing audit requests and responses
• Maintain and improve internal systems, spreadsheets, and process documentation
• Manage a small team to achieve deliverables, with room to grow

Who We're Looking For

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Experience with Solvency II, statutory reporting, and financial controls
• Advanced Excel user and familiar with systems such as Sage
• Strong communicator with a proactive and adaptable mindset
• Insurance or Financial services industry experience is highly desirable
