Financial Planning & Reporting- Director/Associate Director (Pharma)

Position Summary

Associate Director, Financial Planning is responsible for leading financial planning and forecasting for our clients manufacturing site across all business areas. The Associate Director is a member of the site management team, the finance leadership team and a key finance business partner for the Site and Plant Lead Teams. This position reports to the Associate Vice President Finance, Procurement & Supply Chain, based on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction for the financial planning team.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members.
  • Support Strategic Planning Exercise.
  • Own and deliver the annual financial Business Plan for the site and each area.
  • With the team support / influence across the business to meet financial targets.
  • Collaborate closely with the wider finance team to ensure timely and accurate month end close.
  • Communicate monthly results for the site both onsite and with corporate colleagues.
  • Deliver accurate Quarterly and ad-hoc financial forecasts.
  • Provide financial input to support business decision making while continuing to increase the financial acumen of business partners.
  • Responsible for product costing for the site.
  • Own inventory Internal controls.
  • Support both internal and external audits.
  • Manage grant claim submissions.
  • Collaboration with broader Manufacturing Organization.
  • Drive process improvements across the area with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Lead productivity/ other initiatives.
  • Drive the overall financial competitiveness of the site.

Basic Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills.
  • Manufacturing business knowledge.
  • Accountancy Qualification with 10 years+ PQE.
  • People management experience.
