Job Description

Sheridan Maine is excited to partner with a dynamic organisation based in Southampton, seeking a Financial Controller to oversee the finance function and a small team of assistants.

This role presents a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller or an ambitious Finance Manager looking to advance their career.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Managing the end-to-end accounting function for the business
  2. Overseeing payroll and credit control processes
  3. Producing statutory reports and submitting accounts
  4. Developing and mentoring a small finance team, providing training as needed
  5. Producing analysis and commentary for business reports in a timely manner
  6. Supporting the Finance Director and completing ad hoc duties as required
Skills and Experience:
  1. Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or QBE with relevant experience
  2. Proven management and leadership skills
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Advanced Excel and systems skills
  5. Experience overseeing transactional finance and payroll
