Job Description

Are you a hands-on finance leader who brings strong control, commercial judgement, and positive energy to the table? We are looking for a Financial Controller to join Enea's Network Security business unit in Dublin, reporting to the Group FC. This is a role for someone who enjoys building trust across the business, gets the detail right, and brings passion, pace, and enthusiasm to how finance supports performance.

Role and Key Responsibilities
  • Lead monthly consolidated management accounts, reporting, reconciliations, and finance close activities in line with Enea Group policies and deadlines.
  • Own revenue recognition and deferred revenue calculations, applying strong software revenue recognition principles and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Maintain a strong control environment across the business unit, ensuring finance processes are documented, understood, consistently applied, and audit-ready.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and performance reporting, with clear assumptions, practical challenge, and timely insight.
  • Partner with project managers and business leaders on revenue forecasting, cash forecasting, margin visibility, contract performance, and business risks.
  • Take responsibility for audit preparation, statutory and regulatory reporting support, tax compliance activities, and payroll oversight across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Lead, support, and develop the finance support team, setting clear priorities while creating a collaborative, accountable, and positive working environment.
Qualifications, Key Skills and Competence Required qualifications
  • Fully qualified accountant recognised by a relevant accountancy institute, such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or ACA.
  • Ideally 5 years of experience at Financial Controller level or in a comparable senior finance control role.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including revenue recognition, deferred revenue, controls, reconciliations, and audit readiness.
  • Proven experience preparing management accounts, budgets, forecasts, audit schedules, cash flow reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and translating finance data into clear, practical business insight.
  • Strong IT capability, including Microsoft Office, finance systems, and reporting tools.
  • Clear written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate confidently with finance and non-finance audiences.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience in the software, telecom, cybersecurity, or technology sector.
  • Experience with Salesforce and NetSuite.
  • Tax knowledge and experience supporting international subsidiaries (India, UAE).
  • Experience overseeing payroll across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Experience improving finance processes, reporting quality, and operational efficiency.
The person we are looking for
  • You bring energy, passion, and a positive attitude, even when deadlines are tight and the detail matters.
  • You are serious about quality, controls, and compliance, but you do not make finance feel like a punishment exercise.
  • You build trust quickly by being clear, reliable, practical, and commercially aware.
  • You enjoy working with different teams and can explain complex financial topics in plain English.
  • You lead with accountability, good judgment, and a steady approach, while keeping the team environment collaborative and human.
  • You are comfortable balancing financial control with business partnering, knowing that this role is primarily financial controlling, with an element of business controller.
What can Enea offer you?
  • Flexible hybrid work: A modern work model that supports a healthy work-life balance.
  • Collaborative environment: A dynamic, globally connected team culture that fosters engagement in cybersecurity initiatives and cross-regional projects.
  • Inclusive culture: A diverse and inclusive workplace that values your voice and promotes mutual respect and collaboration.
