Job Title: Hotel Financial Controller

Location: Leeds Area

Key Responsibilities for this Hotel Financial Controller:

  • Oversee all financial operations of the hotel, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure financial controls are in place and operating efficiently.
  • Implement and maintain hotel-specific financial processes and systems.
  • Analyse financial performance and provide recommendations for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
  • Manage and oversee self-accounting functions, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, ensuring deadlines are met and work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies and relevant regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller in the hotel industry is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of hotel financial operations, including self-accounting and budgeting.
  • Strong experience with hotel management software and accounting systems.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
