Location: Bristol or London (hybrid working in either location)
Contract: 6 months
Rate: £245 p/d Umbrella

The Emergency Services Network (ESN) is a significant strategic project for our client, aiming to provide advanced, mission-critical communications for Britain's Emergency Services. This network will replace the existing Airwave system and enhance EE's 4G infrastructure to serve 300,000 frontline emergency personnel.

As the Financial Control Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis, you will support this critical infrastructure by ensuring accurate and timely financial forecasting and budgeting. Your responsibilities include quarterly reporting to the Home Office on actuals and forecasts, and driving improvements in forecasting processes.

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead financial planning and forecasting to support decision-making across ESN programs.
• Work with Finance Business Partners to analyze program performance, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Manage Quarterly Financial Reporting (QFR) submissions to the Home Office, including contractual forecasts.
• Implement process improvements, automation, and data handling efficiencies.
• Maintain financial integrity through policy and process enhancements.

Requirements:

• Experience in Forecasting, Planning & Budgeting
• Management Reporting skills
• Financial Data Analysis & Insight generation
• Construction industry experience
• Proficiency in SAP RP1, S/4 HANA, Excel
• Strong FP&A skills and decision-making abilities
• Growth mindset

Key Skills and Experience:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven experience in transforming financial reporting and forecasting processes
• Confident, proactive, with the ability to challenge the status quo and see tasks through to completion
