Job Description

Amazon's Finance Operations, Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) team operates in a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment, prioritizing delivering great experiences for our customers. FOAA is seeking a Finance Analyst I to support our Transfer Pricing team.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Review and support month-end activities, including closing of sub-ledgers, general ledger account reconciliations, reporting, and balance sheet account analysis.
  2. Review and support month-end Flux analysis for all P&L and Balance sheet accounts, sharing insights with stakeholders along with explanations for changes.
  3. Apply proficient accounting skills to recognize complex issues and develop resolutions, consulting with leadership as needed.
  4. Ensure financial policies, procedures, and internal controls are in place and documented; work on process improvements.
  5. Review Balance sheet reconciliations, highlight issues, and take appropriate actions.
  6. Collaborate with auditors on audit-related queries to ensure smooth completion of audits.
  7. Maintain GRC compliance, oversee internal controls, and coordinate improvements with stakeholders.
  8. Lead and support new business/system launches, including UAT of accounting entries and financial reporting.
  9. Identify process improvement opportunities and partner with tech teams for automation and system solutions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience using data to influence business decisions.
  • CA qualification with 0-4 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase/Smartview, SQL, and VBA.
  • Experience in corporate finance, including budgeting, planning, forecasting, and reporting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, or related fields focused on analytics.
  • Effective communication and articulation skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel.
