Financial Analyst - Private Equity & Venture Capital

Octanova is seeking a curious and analytical Financial Analyst to join our Private Equity & Venture Capital team.

We invest in innovative companies and continuously evolve how investment decisions are made. Our team combines rigorous financial analysis with emerging technologies, data, and AI-assisted research tools to improve how opportunities are identified, evaluated, and supported.

This role offers hands-on exposure to the full investment lifecycle from deal analysis and due diligence to portfolio monitoring and investment decision-making while contributing to a data- and AI-enabled investment platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence on new investment opportunities, including market research, financial modeling, and valuation analysis
• Prepare investment memos and support presentations to the investment committee
• Monitor portfolio companies and assist with value creation initiatives
• Support fundraising activities and preparation of investor materials
• Build relationships with founders, fund managers, and ecosystem stakeholders
• Contribute to improving internal analytical workflows and AI-assisted research processes

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with strong academic credentials (finance, economics, business, engineering, mathematics, or related field)

2-4 years of experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, consulting, or a related analytical role

Strong financial modeling and analytical skills

Excellent research, communication, and critical thinking abilities

Interest in technology, data, and AI-driven approaches to investment analysis

Entrepreneurial mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
