About the Opportunity

We're looking for a motivated and ambitious Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team, working alongside our CFO, Head of Finance, Management Accountant and two Finance Assistants.

This is an exceptional opportunity-perfect for someone making their first move from practice into industry or a newly qualified accountant ready to broaden their experience.

In this role, you'll gain exposure across a wide spectrum of accounting areas, have real influence in a growing business, and play a key part in shaping new processes as we expand into new markets.

What You'll Be Doing

Working closely with the Management Accountant, you'll take ownership of:

  • Preparing accurate monthly consolidated management accounts
  • Supporting the creation of year-end consolidated accounts
  • Liaising with statutory auditors to deliver a seamless, on-time audit
  • Providing corporation tax information (final computations handled externally)
  • Compiling accurate monthly stock figures and managing the year-end stock count
  • Delivering reliable, high-quality financial information to empower business decision-making
  • Supporting new and evolving finance processes as the company grows internationally

This role is hands-on, diverse, and ideal for someone who loves rolling up their sleeves and contributing to improvements across the finance function.

Skills & Experience We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Qualified or finalist (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE
  • Experience preparing accounts for medium-sized companies
  • Consolidation of group accounts
  • Stock counting and reconciliations
  • Audit experience with medium-sized businesses
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills
  • Ability to present and communicate financial information clearly
  • Manufacturing finance experience
  • Understanding of overseas trading and incoterms
  • Experience reconciling stock / cost of sales

Desirable:

  • Experience preparing UK VAT returns
  • Experience preparing UK corporation tax computations
