The Role

Our client is seeking aFinancial Accountantto join their established finance team in Co. Kildare.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant will take responsibility for a broad range of accounting, reporting and financial management duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions across a number of entities.
• Process monthly payment runs.
• Ensure the timely recording of bank transactions and preparation of bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts for an established portfolio of clients in line with reporting deadlines.
• Prepare bi-monthly VAT submissions for review and filing.
• Assist with annual budget preparation.
• Coordinate the preparation of financial statements.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors as required.

• Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Comfortable working to tight, recurring deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Confident and professional communicator with the ability to deal directly with clients.
• Open to embracing AI and modern technology to improve efficiencies and ways of working.
• Previous experience in a similar accounting role or within an accountancy practice would be an advantage.
• Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working within a multi-company and multi-currency environment.
