Job PurposeWork collaboratively with colleagues, social workers, payment assurance officers, managers, and exchequers services to ensure prompt setup of resource and care packages, identify payment issues, perform account reconciliation, and resolve payment discrepancies for In-house Foster Carers, Connected Carers, and other Post Order means-tested payments, including Direct Payments and Home Care Support Payments for Children with Disabilities.
Responsibilities- Manage In-house Fostering payment setups and processing in compliance with Fostering Services Regulations 2011.
- Handle Temporary Approve Carers (Reg 24) payment setups and processing according to Care Planning and Placement Review Regulations 2010 & NMS Standard 30.
- Administer Post Order payments (Special Guardianship, Child Arrangement Order, Adoption) and other means-tested payments, including setup, processing, validation, and annual reviews, in compliance with SGO Regulations 2005/2016 and Adoption Regulations 2005.
- Maintain data integrity within financial systems and support the design of effective financial controls.
- Conduct benchmarking activities, including data collection and manipulation.
- Participate in projects to support managers in financial and budgetary responsibilities through effective support and monitoring.
- Maintain IT systems, spreadsheets, and databases to produce necessary reports and outputs.
- Ensure individual records are current and accurate for statutory returns and local datasets.
- Work flexibly across the service to support service users proactively.
- Provide comprehensive business support, including mailbox management, finance processing, data archiving, meetings, and caseload management.
- Embrace new technology to enhance service support and align with Lambeth's ways of working.
- Prioritize work and meet deadlines methodically.
- Use innovative thinking to improve service delivery.
- Adapt to emergency situations as needed.
- Undertake additional duties as reasonably required.
- Ensure proper collation, recording, and tracking of information for each child in care or care-experienced young person.
- Work within targets and be accountable for individual and project performance.
- Use resources responsibly and efficiently.

- Perform other reasonably assigned duties.
This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
