Finance Manager

greenwellgleeson are recruiting for an ambitious and motivated Finance Manager to join a growing and successful business based in Redditch.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to take the next step in their career, working closely with an experienced Finance Director and gaining exposure to a broad range of financial, commercial and operational activities.

The role offers genuine scope for progression, with the opportunity to develop leadership skills, improve processes and take on greater responsibility as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial reporting and group consolidations.

• Manage balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow monitoring and financial controls.

• Oversee contract accounting, including Work in Progress (WIP), contract costing and profitability analysis.

• Support budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis to aid business decisions.

• Review VAT returns, statutory submissions and year-end audit requirements.

• Provide guidance and support to the existing finance team, helping to develop their skills and performance.

• Work closely with the Finance Director to improve systems, processes and management information.

• Partner with operational teams to provide financial insight and support business performance.

About You

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA - essential.

• Previous experience of contract accounting and WIP.

• Strong management accounting background with sound technical knowledge.

• Previous team management experience advantageous but not essential.

• Commercially minded, proactive and keen to develop professionally.

• Strong Excel skills and the ability to communicate effectively across the business.
