Finance Manager

Senior Financial Accountant, Cardiff, Financial Services, Hybrid, up to £65k

We're partnering with a leading financial services organisation in Cardiff that is looking to appoint a Senior Financial Accountant to join its growing finance team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA professional seeking their first step into a commercially focused, industry-based role.

You'll work within a high-performing finance function, gaining exposure to senior stakeholders, complex financial reporting requirements, and strategic business initiatives in a highly regulated environment.

The Role As Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of financial reporting, supporting regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement across finance processes.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
• Supporting statutory accounts and year-end audit activities
• Producing balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis
• Working closely with business stakeholders across the organisation
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
• Identifying process improvements and enhancing financial controls
• Contributing to finance transformation and change initiatives

You'll ideally have:

• Recently qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA status or up to two years post qualification
• Experience gained within an accountancy practice or audit environment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• A proactive mindset with a desire to learn and develop

They are looking to offer the successful candidate between £60,000 - £65,000.
