We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our Direct to Consumer (DTC) Finance Team here at Disney!

As an important member of the DTC Finance Team, the successful Finance Manager will be responsible for the financial management of Disney + in EMEA, +, The Walt Disney Company's Direct to Consumer entertainment service, which is available in 70 markets. This is a great opportunity for an existing Finance Manager who has a strong media background and excellent stakeholder management skills, to join us. Business partnering is a key element of the role to evaluate and track Disney+ local original investment.

The role sits in our Regional and UK DTC finance team and supports production and content cost lines.

Please note: This is an office-based role. 4 days working in the Hammersmith, London office with 1 day working from home (Monday or Friday).

What You Will Do

  • Review and consolidate EMEA originals for financial planning cycles (Close, Forecast & Annual Operating plan)

  • Provide support to the Originals team in managing the UK slate to include: budget setup and reviews, cashflows, tax credit calculation reviews. Business partnering with the creative, PM and BA teams

  • Review of greenlight documents for both Uk and EMEA titles

  • Perform Cost Report audits on UK scripted titles during production.

  • Provide financial support for the EMEA development forecast with special focus on the UK market. (Close, Forecast & Annual Operating plan)

  • Partner with the programming team on localisation of content (Close, Forecast & Annual Operating plan) and appraise the localisation strategy by analysing KPIs and return on investment

  • Finance representative in cross function process mapping.

  • Develop close relationships with the wider EMEA Finance team, with a 'one team' approach' and build a network across lines of business, markets, Burbank and controllership, sharing resources and knowledge

  • Adopt a flexible approach to provide ad hoc finance support to the wider D+ finance and business teams.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • ACA/CIMA Qualified or equivalent qualification

  • Already a Finance Manager with significant experience in business partnering, financial planning and analysis (at least 5 years)

  • Some experience of UK scripted or unscripted production finance would be advantageous although not essential.

  • Attention to detail and strong qualitative/analytical skills to drive decision making

  • Comfortable working with large volumes of data, preparing insightful reporting and analysis to support management decision making

  • Experience in presentations will be useful

  • Working in an equivalent role within the Media sector a big plus

  • Working with financial IT systems, SAP/BW, Cognos Reporting and excellent proven Excel skills
