Your new role
Step into a senior role within a dynamic health research organisation, where you'll manage finances across innovative domestic and international programmes. Supporting the Assistant Director - Finance & Business Support, you'll help shape financial strategies and ensure excellence in financial oversight. Lead financial management and contract oversight. Work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure robust planning, reporting, and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial performance reporting and strategic planning for award areas
• Manage quarterly reports and conduct trend analysis for government stakeholders
• Develop financial models and contribute to business case costing
• Monitor contracts, manage payment schedules, and support new contract setup
• Provide financial insights across the award lifecycle and support competition funding decisions
• Ensure financial assurance and compliance with international development funding requirements
• Build strong partnerships with academic institutions, healthcare providers, and global collaborators
• Supervise staff, deputise for senior leadership, and contribute to finance policy development

What you'll need to succeed
An experienced finance professional with strong leadership and analytical skills, able to confidently navigate a dynamic portfolio. You'll be a collaborative communicator with a sharp eye for detail, ready to influence decisions and make an impact across national and international health research initiatives.
