Finance Manager / Senior Management Accountant

Location: Clane, Co. Kildare
Salary: €65,000 - €75,000 DOE
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Arrangement: Office-based with flexibility around working hours

The Role

Leinster Appointments is currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager / Senior Management Accountant on behalf of an established business operating within the medical sector in Clane, Co. Kildare.

This is a hands on role offering the opportunity to take ownership of the day to day finance function, working closely with the Managing Director and Operations Manager to support business performance and financial decision making.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day to day finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong financial controls.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Manage cash flow, bank accounts, credit cards, accounts payable and receivable.
• Oversee sales invoicing, revenue recognition, accruals, prepayments and work in progress.
• Prepare Irish and UK VAT returns and Intrastat submissions.
• Manage payroll using BrightPay and process employee expenses.
• Coordinate year-end accounts and external audits.
• Provide financial reporting, analysis and commercial insights to senior management.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiencies.

The Person Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 2-4 years' relevant experience.
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Proficiency in Sage and Microsoft Excel.
• Payroll experience, ideally using BrightPay.
• Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills.
• Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable managing the finance function independently.
• Previous experience within an SME or owner managed business would be advantageous.
