Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting on behalf of a London-based Local Authority for a Finance Manager (Capital & Balance Sheet) to join on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will lead capital and fixed asset accounting, ensuring that revenue and capital accounting entries underpinning the Statement of Accounts are produced promptly.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for preparing the Statement of Accounts, Group Accounts, and other statutory returns. They will also provide financial advice related to taxation and VAT, and support the development of the capital strategy as part of the medium-term financial strategy, including policy formulation.

Candidate Criteria
  • CCAB/CIMA Qualified Accountant with extensive experience
  • Experience leading capital and fixed asset accounting within a Local Authority
  • Experience in producing the Statement of Accounts, Group Accounts, and other statutory returns
  • Experience in developing capital strategies and medium-term financial planning
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
