Financial Management Information Officer (Career Grade)12-month Fixed Term ContractLocation: BoltonSalary: £18.00 - £20.00 per hourWe are seeking an experienced Financial Management Information Officer to join a Local Authority Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role will support the effective management of financial resources across the Directorate, providing accurate financial information, budget monitoring, and advice to service managers and budget holders.Key Responsibilities:

• Support the preparation and maintenance of budgets.
• Produce accurate budget monitoring reports and financial management information.
• Analyse financial data and provide insight to support decision-making.
• Work with budget holders to ensure effective use of resources and value for money.
• Assist with financial reporting, forecasting, and final accounts preparation.
• Provide financial guidance and support to non-finance colleagues.
• Use Microsoft Excel and financial systems to analyse and present information.

About You:

You will have experience working in a finance environment, with strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance colleagues. You will ideally have:

• AAT qualification (full or part-qualified) or equivalent.
• Experience preparing financial reports and management information.
• Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills.
• Experience supporting budgets, forecasting, and financial monitoring.
• Local Authority experience and knowledge of Oracle systems would be desirable.
