Finance Business Partner

Our client, a leading public sector organisation, is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is based in Bedford with hybrid working options available. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in financial management within the public sector, offering strategic insights and partnering with various departments to drive financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing strategic financial advice and support to various departments
• Developing and implementing financial plans that align with organisational objectives
• Conducting financial analysis to inform decision making and budget management
• Collaborating with senior management to manage risks and opportunities
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards
• Preparing and presenting financial reports to stakeholders
• Identifying and driving efficiencies and improvements across financial processes
• Supporting the preparation of annual budgets and long term financial forecasts

Job Requirements:

• Strong experience in finance, ideally with a focus on business partnering
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Proficiency in financial planning and analysis
• Understanding of financial regulations and compliance within the public sector
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders
• Strong problem solving abilities and attention to detail
• Relevant finance qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience
