Finance Business Partner

Assystem Energy & Infrastructure is recruiting for a Finance Business Partner to work at our customer's site in Derby on a 6-month contract basis.

Role details:

• Role title - Finance Business Partner
• Contract duration - 6 months
• Contract type - PAYE via Umbrella - INSIDE IR35
• Hours - 37 hours days (overtime achievable)
• Location - Derby

Key accountabilities will include:

• Working with Senior Management Teams to ensure that the business meets or exceeds financial commitments, identifying drivers and connections of business performance.
• Developing business plans, cases, and investment requests in collaboration with the business area.
• Developing financial and commercial strategies for new work and contract renewals, including transitioning to more risk-based contracts and operating under Single Source Contracting Regulations. Financial evaluation of Business Evaluation Forms.
• Producing balanced, challenging business forecasts supported by coherent assumptions.
• Ensuring contract reviews meet governance requirements and challenge business performance.
• Interfacing regularly with customers through performance reviews and supporting safeguarding of customer assets as required.
• Ensuring cost claims, cost certificates, and cost rates are provided and justified to auditors.

• Ability to interface with customers.
• Knowledge of business risk management.
• Extensive knowledge of business planning, reporting, and control.
• Experience with accounting standards.
