Finance Business Partner - Adult Social Care (ASC)

Location: West London

Rate: £553 per day (umbrella)

Contract: 3-6 months, ongoing

Hours: Full-time

About the Role: We're seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a West London local authority, supporting the Adult Social Care (ASC) directorate. This role will work closely with service management teams and the Head of Finance to provide high-quality financial direction, insight, and strategic support. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping senior managers deliver strong financial performance, understand complex financial information, and make data-driven decisions that support service improvement and transformation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Adult Social Care Directorate to provide strategic financial guidance and analysis.
  • Support budget managers in delivering effective financial management and accountability.
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Provide direct support for strategic financial planning and input into the Council's medium-term financial forecasts.
  • Offer high-quality financial advice to Corporate Directors, Heads of Service, and budget holders.
  • Support the Head of Finance in managing and coordinating a high-performing finance team.
  • Contribute to cross-cutting projects, including capital and transformation initiatives.
Requirements
  • CCAB/CIMA qualified accountant (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner within local government or Adult Social Care.
  • Must have experience working in a council or housing association.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to challenge and influence senior management effectively.
  • Experience supporting financial planning, monitoring, and reporting within complex service areas.
