Your new role
You will work with a dedicated team of finance professionals and your responsibilities will include: working with and supporting the Accounts team to ensure accuracy and timeliness of work in accordance with pre-determined metrics, assist in the production of management accounts; variance analysis; prepare and post Journals, month-end balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, completion of FP&A Supplementals, preparation of KPI's, prepare month-end accruals in a timely manner per the month end checklist, support the processing of Payroll, Pension Scheme Administration and submission of HMRC returns, adhere to internal policies and good practice across the teams, establish effective relationships with stakeholders, contribute to the overall success of the Accounts team, promoting and maintaining a positive work environment and any Ad hoc projects as required.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential Criteria:
Degree or equivalent in Accountancy or another relevant subject
Studying towards a professional accountancy qualification
6 months experience in a similar role
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
Ability to communicate with a wide range of contacts, from corporate and external vendors to employees.
Proactive problem-solving and results-oriented and able to work on own initiative.
Strong reporting skills.
Ability to work productively and flexibly while meeting deadlines.
Desirable Criteria:
Proven experience working in a fast-paced Finance function, working to tight deadlines.
Experience with SAP S4 HANA and other ERP Systems.
Experience of Planful FP&A or other consolidation software.
What you'll get in return
You will work for a global company at their Derry-Londonderry facility on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension depending on business needs. Hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm and 8am to 12noon on a Friday. You will receive a competitive salary.
