Finance Assitant (9 month FTC)

Overview

Opticore IT is a specialist Network Engineer and Project Management consultancy spanning multiple sectors including Finance, Broadcast Media, Telecommunications and more.

Opticore IT are currently searching for a Finance Assistant to join our Finance Team, on a 9 Month FTC, with the potential to extend. You'll have to already have or be already on the journey to achieving your AAT/ACCA/CIMA certifications.

This opportunity is hybrid, working from the Opticore HQ up to 3 days a week, based in the City of London area.

What you'll be doing

• Inbox management and accurate processing and coding of supplier invoices, credit cards and employees' expenses into NetSuite Accounting.
• To raise purchase orders upon request.
• Payment Run preparation
• Accounts receivable and credit control - distribution of sales invoices, ensuring payments are received on time and chasing any debtors.
• Bank reconciliation
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Accruals, prepayments, FAR maintenance and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Year end and audit: preparation of year end information and assistance with audit requests.
• Ad hoc tasks assisting Finance Controller as necessary.
• Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines and to report to the Financial Controller with timely and accurate financial information.

What you'll bring

• Either a Bachelor's degree, a Master's degree or be studying for AAT/ACCA/CIMA.
• A recent history of delivering in a Finance Assistant position.
• Proficient in Excel, think VLOOKUP, SUMIF
• Strong research and analytical skills, especially around accruals and prepayments.
• Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
