Finance Assistant/Accounts Payable

Summertown, Oxford 20-24 hours per week Temporary, initially 3 months with potential to extend or become permanent Hybrid

• £32,000 - £34,000 (FTE)

Robert Half Ltd are working with an organisation based in Summertown that are looking for an Accounts Payable & Finance Assistant to join the team. You will provide support across the finance function, with a particular focus on Accounts Payable/Purchase Ledger.

• Managing the AP inbox and processing, coding and authorising invoices.
• Reviewing supplier statements and resolving queries.
• Preparing supplier payment runs and issuing remittances.
• Raising purchase orders and processing prepayments.
• Liaising with suppliers and internal colleagues to resolve outstanding queries.
• Supporting the Fees Ledger and school fee administration.
• Assisting with reconciliations, journals, budgets, management accounts and audit preparation.
• Supporting petty cash and general finance administration.

You will have strong Accounts Payable experience and a proactive, organised and methodical approach. You'll be confident managing a busy workload, meeting deadlines and following up on outstanding actions.

Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively as part of a small team.

Ideally, you will have previous experience working within a school, charity or similar not-for-profit organisation, although this is not essential.
