Finance Assistant - 6 month - Inside IR35 - Hybrid

Purpose:

Temporary support for our debtor's team, handling customer queries posting receipts to customer accounts and financial administrative duties.

Description of role

a. Provide business support to a team or functional area in accordance with clients systems and procedures.
b. Respond to and handle routine correspondence and general enquiries from members of the public, regulated bodies, suppliers, contractors and internal customers electronically or verbally.
c. Pass information and queries received to the correct part (or parts) of the organisation to allow the client to fulfil its statutory functions and obligations.
d. Input, maintain and interrogate records and systems both manually and electronically in accordance with legislative and procedural requirements such as processing applications for licences and issue of appropriate statutory notices.
e. Respond to, or assist in the response to, external and internal queries in accordance with agreed deadlines or Service Level Agreements (SLA's).
f. Carry out basic financial checks/reconciliation, order basic supplies.
g. Fully adhere and comply with Health & Safety Policy.

Essential Skills, Competences or qualifications

a. Relevant experience or qualification equivalent to SCQF Level 4-5 qualification (eg National 4/5 school qualification).
b. Ability to interpret information and process it according to standard operating guidelines and procedures.
c. Competent written and oral communications skills.
d. Demonstrate good team working skills as well as a flexible approach to work activities.
