Finance and Procurement Change Manager

Job Ref: Stoke

Pay Rate: £354.14 to £393.48 per day PAYE, DOE

Hours per week: 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Contract length: This opening assignment is for 6 months

Location and postcode: Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, ST4 1RN

Hybrid working: TBC

Candidates must be available for immediate start

The role

We are seeking a Change Manager for a Business Change Workstream team. The Change Manager will oversee the Finance & Procurement Functions at the Council. It is essential that you have previous Public Sector Experience, along with experience with SAP.

Key accountabilities
  • Conduct Change Impact Assessments across Finance, HR, Payroll, Procurement and what it means for Directorate and Service Areas
  • Work closely with Business Analyst and Process Owners to identify key areas of Change
  • Stakeholder Analysis
  • Create comms & engagement plans
  • Input into the new Target Operating Model
  • Create and Manage a Change network to champion and advocate the new ways of working
  • Business Readiness & Cultural Change Initiatives
  • Support Process Design Workshops with BAs and SMEs
  • Support Business continuity and sustaining Change post-go live
Key requirements
  • Finance Qualification from either ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or CIPFA, or equivalent experience
  • Previous Public sector Finance experience
  • Previous procurement experience, ideally within a local authority or large public sector organisation
  • SAP experience (essential), ideally across Finance or Procurement modules
  • Previous experience delivering end-to-end change management within complex transformation programmes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience developing change strategies, plans, and readiness assessments
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities
  • A collaborative style with the ability to influence at all levels
