Finance and Admin Manager

The Finance and Admin Manager is responsible for leading the finance and administration function of Damilah Technology Limited (UK) and its Macedonian subsidiary, Damilah Technology Dooel Skopje. The role combines hands-on financial and management accounting with strategic support to the CEO, ensuring full compliance with UK accounting standards and regulatory requirements while overseeing local statutory obligations in North Macedonia.

Responsibilities and Duties Financial and UK Statutory Accounting- Manage all general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, reconciliations and month-end close, using Xero
- Prepare accounts in line with UK GAAP and ensure compliance with Companies House and HMRC requirements
- Oversee UK tax compliance, including VAT returns, Corporation Tax, and PAYE/payroll obligations
- Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements for the UK parent and Macedonian subsidiary, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors in the UK and North Macedonia to ensure correct, timely year-end closing and statutory reporting
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls and regulatory requirements across both entities
- Produce monthly management accounts with clear commentary on performance, variances and trends
- Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts and cash flow forecasts for the CEO
- Develop and track financial KPIs, project and client profitability, and cost analysis to support business decisions
- Provide financial insight and scenario modelling to support pricing, investment and growth planning
- Present financial results and recommendations to the CEO and senior leadership
- Lead, mentor and develop finance and administration staff, setting clear objectives and standards
- Build and continuously improve finance processes, controls and reporting across both entities
- Manage purchasing and supplier relationships, ensuring payment terms are as favourable as possible
- Oversee monthly payroll and the processing of all internal expenses
- Oversee general company administration, including contracts, insurance and company secretarial matters
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and collaborate with other department heads
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial data
- Strong working knowledge of UK accounting standards (FRS 102) and UK tax and statutory requirements
- Solid management accounting skills, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial modelling
- Experience with group consolidation and intercompany accounting
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Hands-on experience with Xero or a similar cloud accounting platform
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
- Ability to take ownership of the finance function and drive improvements
- Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills, including presenting to senior management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Commercially minded, customer-centric and outcome-oriented
- Highly detail-oriented and quality driven
- Ability to work independently and within a cross-border team
- ACCA qualified (or CIMA/ACA equivalent); candidates in the final stages of ACCA will also be considered
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management
- 5+ years in an accounting or finance role, including at least 2 years in a management or team leadership position
- Demonstrable experience with UK accounting, tax and statutory reporting
- Experience in management accounting and financial reporting to senior leadershipThorough knowledge of accounting procedures, general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
- Knowledge of Macedonian accounting and tax legislation will be an advantage
