Finance Administrator (Progression to Finance Manager)

Location: North Finchley

Salary: Up to £35,000 (with a view to increase to £40k after 3 months)

Contract Type: Full time, Hybrid Working - On-Site Parking

Are you an experienced Finance Administrator looking for a role where you can genuinely develop your career?

Due to a valued team member retiring after 8 successful years with the business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Administrator to join a growing organisation with a clear pathway to progress into a Finance Manager position.

Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance function while helping to shape and improve processes as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger
  • Processing payroll and pension administration
  • Maintaining the cashbook and completing bank reconciliations
  • Processing staff expenses and pay adjustments
  • Managing credit control and debt collection activities
  • Preparing and issuing sales invoices
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and general ledger accounts
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers, auditors and external stakeholders
  • Supporting quarterly and year-end accounts processes
  • Reviewing and improving finance procedures and controls
  • Providing wider administrative support where required

About You

  • Previous experience in a similar Finance Administrator, Finance Officer or Accounts role
  • Experience using Sage 50 Payroll and Accounts
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A proactive approach with a desire to grow and develop within a business
