Finance Accounting Consultant

Job Title: Accounting Consultant (Freelance/Interim)

Language Requirement: Dutch (100% Dutch-speaking team)

Mission Context:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join their team on a freelance or interim basis. This opportunity arises due to the upcoming departure of a team member to another department. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless continuity of accounting operations during this transition and will be responsible for training their successor. The need for this position is urgent, with the handover expected to begin as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the accounting function, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Collaborate closely with the finance team to maintain efficient accounting processes and reporting.
• Train and mentor the incoming accounting personnel to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of operations.
• Manage customer-related accounting flows, addressing issues such as late payments and ensuring timely collections.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to enhance financial performance and operational efficiency.
• Lead and supervise a small team of 2 to 3 accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.

Desired Profile:

• Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or in a similar senior accounting role, with a strong track record of success in managing complex accounting functions.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP, particularly SAP FI, and proficiency in using accounting software and tools.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly related to customer transactions and late payment management.
• Excellent people management skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and develop a small team effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to tackle challenges in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Exceptional communication skills in Dutch, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and effectively.
