Field Services Engineer

Introduction

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be providing technical advice, specifically related to electrical matters, to clients and our service team. You will also assist with repairs or malfunctions and advise on the necessary upgrades to maintain the quality of the lines.

Core tasks

Forming part of the service department means helping our customers, both remotely and on-site. Some of the main tasks will include;

Evaluation and possible upgrade of current electrical systems

Possible development of new systems

Client and in-house advice related to electrical matters

Supervision during the installation and start-up of new machines

Pre-testing before shipment in our manufacturing workshop

Troubleshooting and output repairs

Remote assistance

Supporting clients with maintenance

Supporting the service team with other tasks when possible

Documenting and providing feedback to the design team

Consultation & coordination with colleagues regarding the daily division of work and implementation

Requirements

• You have a good understanding of technical aspects and are interested in machinery
• Minimum MBO/HBO in Electrical Engineering or similar
• You have 3+ years of experience as a Service Engineer/Electrical Engineer/similar
• You speak English; other languages are a plus
• Availability to travel for up to 50%
• Basic knowledge of PLC systems
