Astro Pak is the nation's leading precision cleaning and passivation contractor specializing in on-site cleaning of high purity gas and fluid systems, as well as precision cleaning of components and hardware at the company's Cleanroom facilities. POSITION OPPORTUNITY
The Field Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of Astro Pak's field services operations, working closely with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to drive continuous improvement and compliance. The Field Quality Engineer will facilitate risk assessments to projects and support the implementation of quality assurance processes and procedures throughout all Astro Pak locations.

• Facilitate risk assessments related to high-risk jobs under the estimating and conceptualization stage gates to ensure risk identification and mitigation.
• Execute in implementation of quality assurance processes and procedures to improve service performance and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct desk and field audits identifying areas for improvement and supporting corrective action review and effectiveness follow-up.
• Analyze field quality performance data, customer feedback, and service reports to identify trends and develop solutions for recurring issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer support teams to resolve technical issues and enhance service quality.
• Provide training and guidance to field service personnel on quality standards, best practices, and procedures.
• Lead nonconformity root cause analysis and problem-solving initiatives to address quality-related concerns identified through audits, quality incident reporting or customer complaints.
• Support the development and implementation of continuous improvement programs to optimize service delivery and efficiency.
• Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure service execution and delivery expectations are met and exceeded.
• Analyze and manage data and projects in compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.

Qualifications

Education/Training/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field, or equivalent experience required.

Related Experience: At least 2 years of work experience in Quality Engineering, or technical role in pharmaceutical, medical devices, energy, aerospace, or food and beverage. Certification in Quality Engineer (ex: ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Quality Auditor) a plus. Experience with standards such as ISO9001, AS9100, CGMP documentation or similar industry specific requirements preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, and superior organizational abilities
• Ability to take initiative, maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines, and work in a team environment
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and industry quality control practices.
• Experience with root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), with some understanding of Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.
• Proficiency in using quality management systems (QMS) and data analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing quality concerns.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers, field personnel, and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent proficiency in PC-based computing (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and cGMP documentation) is essential
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Legal capacity to comply with federally mandated requirements of the U.S. Export Control Laws

License: Possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.

Travel: Must be willing and able to travel overnight stays, weekends and holidays by land and/or air up to 50% of the time.
