Field Engineer

A quick snapshot of the role:

Commissioning & Decommissioning

• Install and commission equipment across multiple project locations
• Coordinate with customers to gather audit requirements

Technical Documentation & Troubleshooting

• Ensure all equipment documentation (manuals, BEPQM, tools/consumables references) is accessible and up to date
• Provide troubleshooting notices for recurring issues

Training & Customer Support

• Train operators, setters, QC inspectors, maintenance techs, and supervisors
• Provide training reports and certificates
• Train client teams on sample preparation, splice assembly, and e-ticketing

Level 3 Technical Support

• Respond to e-tickets and provide remote or on-site assistance
• Conduct Level 3 preventive maintenance
• Support equipment standardisation and upgrade deployments
• Produce detailed technical service reports

Operational Efficiency Monitoring

• Review on-site procedures and quality processes
• Assess cutting, forging, threading, and testing operations
• Monitor production output and recommend optimisations

What they're looking for:

• Degree in Engineering or NVQ Level 3/4 (Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical, or similar)
• Experience in customer service, QC/inspection, or international project work (beneficial)
• Strong technical skills: Mechanical / Electrical / Automation / Hydraulics
• Confident communicator with solid IT skills (Microsoft Office)
• Happy to travel regularly within the region
