  • Part-time (10 hours per week - term time)
  • Monday to Friday
  • Day shifts only
  • Consistent morning rota

Contract:Temp to PermStart Date:March 2026About the Role We are recruiting a compassionate and consistent Female Support Worker to support a 16-year-old young person within her family home in Northampton. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering the chance to build a stable, long-term role following an initial temporary period. The position is ideal for someone already working in care who is looking to add guaranteed, structured hours to their week, particularly early mornings, alongside an existing role. The focus of this package is stability and consistency. We are prioritising the right long-term fit for the client, with the opportunity for additional hours as the package evolves. You will be joining an established team to provide calm, structured morning support before school, helping ensure a safe and positive start to the day.About the Client A is a 16-year-old female with a brain injury resulting in:
  • Severe learning difficulties
  • Speech, language and communication difficulties
  • Physical difficulties
  • Social interaction challenges
  • Limited self-care skills
  • Limited awareness of safety
She requires 1:1 supervision in the home and 2:1 support in the community. She can struggle with attention, self-regulation and following adult direction, and benefits from clear visual and verbal prompts. She has a strong need for movement and requires patient, structured support to remain safe and engaged. She is described as bubbly and a lovely young person to work with.Your Role & Responsibilities
  • Supporting with morning personal care routines
  • Assisting with dressing, hygiene and preparation for school
  • Providing consistent verbal and visual guidance
  • Supporting emotional regulation and transitions
  • Always ensuring safety
  • Working closely with family and existing support team
  • Completing clear and accurate care notes
This is a structured and predictable role requiring reliability and warmth.Requirements & ExperienceEssential:
  • Female Support Worker (Genuine Occupational Requirement - Equality Act 2010)
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Experience supporting learning disabilities and/or brain injury
  • Excellent spoken English
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Own vehicle
  • Reliable for early morning starts
  • Comfortable providing personal care
  • Calm, patient and engaging personality
Desirable:
  • Experience supporting neurodevelopmental conditions
  • Experience supporting behavioural or regulation needs
Training Required:
  • Manual Handling
  • Safeguarding
  • First Aid
  • Medication Awareness
(Training can be refreshed or provided where required.)Salary & Benefits
