Hybrid role with 80% homeworking and 20% in Stratford-upon-Avon - 6 Month FTC.

About the role

At NFU Mutual, our farming propositions play a central role in how we support rural communities and farming businesses evolve with a changing agricultural landscape. As a Propositions Consultant, you'll help shape, review and refine our farming product propositions to ensure they remain competitive, commercially strong and aligned to customer needs.

• Lead or contribute to the evaluation of existing propositions, using data, insight and market understanding to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Work closely with underwriting, claims, pricing and distribution to assess the commercial and customer impact of potential changes and develop well structured recommendations and business cases.
• Provide a balanced view of risk, regulation and customer outcomes.
• Act as a central point of coordination across multiple stakeholders to progress initiatives effectively.
• Support propositions through governance and delivery stages, helping translate strategy into practical, customer focused solutions.
• Contribute to ad hoc projects and initiatives that support the wider farming strategy.
• Attend industry shows and networking events across the UK to build relationships and maintain a strong understanding of developments within the agricultural sector.

About you

You'll bring strong Commercial GI insurance experience and a solid understanding of how products and underwriting decisions translate into customer and commercial outcomes. Comfortable working with data and insight, you'll be able to evaluate performance and shape well reasoned recommendations that balance risk, regulation and opportunity.

• Commercial GI insurance experience with good product knowledge.
• Knowledge of agricultural insurance products or the wider rural sector.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data to support commercially sound decision making.
• Proven experience engaging, influencing and managing stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Confident communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
• Proactive, collaborative and highly organised approach, with strong networking capability.
