Location: Folkestone Community-Based (Home Visits Required)

Hours: 28 Hours Per Week

Salary: £14.25 per hour

Contract: Fixed-Term until April 2027

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Domestic Abuse & Family Wellbeing Practitioner to support women and families affected by domestic abuse, trauma and complex life challenges.

Working within a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach, you will support women to improve their safety, wellbeing and confidence, while helping families build resilience and achieve positive outcomes for children.

This is a rewarding community-based role involving home visits, advocacy, parenting support and multi-agency working.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emotional and practical support to women affected by domestic abuse.
• Complete risk assessments, DASH assessments and safety plans.
• Deliver advocacy and support women to access specialist services.
• Support mothers to strengthen parenting skills and family relationships.
• Work with children experiencing emotional or behavioural difficulties.
• Assist families with housing, benefits and practical support needs.
• Attend safeguarding meetings and work closely with partner agencies.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case records.
• Facilitate support groups, workshops and recovery programmes.

About You Essential

• Experience in domestic abuse, family support, safeguarding, social care or a related field.
• Understanding of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
• Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and trauma.
• Strong communication, advocacy and case management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
• A compassionate, non-judgemental and solution-focused approach.

Driving Requirement

You must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle, as regular travel and home visits are required.
