Family Wellbeing Practitioner
Location: Folkestone Community-Based (Home Visits Required)
Hours: 28 Hours Per Week
Salary: £14.25 per hour
Contract: Fixed-Term until April 2027

About the RoleWe are seeking a compassionate and motivated Domestic Abuse & Family Wellbeing Practitioner to support women and families affected by domestic abuse, trauma and complex life challenges.
Working within a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach, you will support women to improve their safety, wellbeing and confidence, while helping families build resilience and achieve positive outcomes for children.
This is a rewarding community-based role involving home visits, advocacy, parenting support and multi-agency working.
Key Responsibilities- Provide emotional and practical support to women affected by domestic abuse.
- Complete risk assessments, DASH assessments and safety plans.
- Deliver advocacy and support women to access specialist services.
- Support mothers to strengthen parenting skills and family relationships.
- Work with children experiencing emotional or behavioural difficulties.
- Assist families with housing, benefits and practical support needs.
- Attend safeguarding meetings and work closely with partner agencies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential case records.
- Facilitate support groups, workshops and recovery programmes.
- Experience in domestic abuse, family support, safeguarding, social care or a related field.
- Understanding of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and trauma.
- Strong communication, advocacy and case management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
- A compassionate, non-judgemental and solution-focused approach.
You must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle, as regular travel and home visits are required.
