Role Description

Contract/Hours: 37 Full Time - Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2028 (with possibility of extension)

Schedule: Monday - Friday - flexibility with working hours

Location: Aberdeen Priority Families (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively assess the needs of families and respond to them.
  • Work collaboratively with families to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Listen to children, young people, and families' concerns.
  • Work in an integrated way as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team.
  • Carry out assessments, intensive planned support, and reviews, and support families to overcome barriers.
  • Attend meetings and work alongside partner agencies, advocating on behalf of children and families.
Candidate Profile
  • An SVQ 3 in social care or equivalent.
  • Experience working with vulnerable families and the issues and barriers they face.
  • Knowledge and awareness of methods of assessment and interventions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing and through presentations.
  • Experience developing multidisciplinary support plans.
  • Experience working with children, young people, their families, and carers to promote and ensure safeguarding and the welfare of the child / young person.
