An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Private Family Solicitor to join a growing legal group at an important stage of its development.
The Family department is continuing to grow, and the successful lawyer will have the opportunity to play a genuine part in that growth, develop their own area of expertise and have a voice in how the department evolves.
You'll join a collaborative and ambitious Family team handling a broad range of private family matters, including:
- Divorce
- Private children matters
- Financial matters
- Cohabitation agreements
- Pre-nuptial agreements
- Wider private family work
There is real scope to develop your own caseload and build your profile within the local market, with the firm keen to support someone who wants to establish their own client relationships and develop a strong reputation in the area.
Business development and networking are encouraged, so this would suit someone who enjoys being visible in the market and wants the opportunity to build their own name and client base.
You'll have the chance to:
- Have a genuine voice within a growing department
- Help shape the direction of the Family team
- Develop your own caseload and client base
- Build your profile and reputation in the local area
- Develop your own areas of expertise
- Progress as the department continues to grow
- Get involved in wider areas such as risk and compliance if of interest
- Work with an established wider legal group while retaining a strong level of autonomy
The firm also takes a flexible approach to working arrangements, with hybrid working available, alongside regular opportunities to connect with colleagues across the wider business.
You'll ideally be someone who:
- Has experience across a broad range of private family work
- Is confident managing their own caseload
- Wants to develop their own profile and client base
- Has an interest in BD and networking
- Is ambitious and keen to progress as the department grows
- Wants more influence and autonomy in their next role
- Advocacy experience is welcomed but is not essential.
The package
- Salary: £55,000-£70,000
- Hybrid working
- 25 days' annual leave
- Your own dedicated assistant
- Support from wider consultants where required
- Clear scope for progression as the department develops
- Opportunity to build your own profile and caseload
- Two firm-wide team days each year
This is a great opportunity for a Family Solicitor who wants more than just their next job. If you're looking for the chance to help shape a growing department, develop your own reputation and have a genuine impact on its future, this could be a very good fit.
