Family Solicitor

A reputable and growing private practice firm is seeking an experienced Family Solicitor to join its highly regarded family law department. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor who is passionate about family law and looking to handle high-quality work with clear progression opportunities.

The firm is open to applications from NQ (Newly Qualified) through to senior solicitors, with experience across a broad range of family matters.

The Role

You will manage a varied caseload, which may include:

• Divorce and separation
• Financial remedy proceedings
• Child arrangements and private children matters
• Cohabitation disputes
• Domestic abuse cases and injunctions
• Pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements
• Advising on mediation and alternative dispute resolution

You'll receive appropriate supervision based on your PQE, along with the opportunity to develop specialist areas of interest.

Key Responsibilities

• Running your own caseload with minimal supervision
• Drafting legal documents including statements, applications, schedules, and correspondence
• Handling complex and sensitive matters with professionalism
• Engaging with clients empathetically and providing clear legal advice
• Representing clients in negotiations and supporting counsel as needed
• Ensuring compliance with deadlines, procedure rules, and regulatory standards
• Building long-term client relationships and contributing to department growth

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
• NQ to 6+ PQE in family law
• Strong experience in divorce, finances, and children matters
• Excellent communication and client-care skills
• Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload
• Interest in advocacy or mediation is advantageous
