Job Advert: Family Solicitor (Associate Level)

Location: Hybrid - Oxford/Chipping Norton with remote working options
Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 FTE (dependent on experience) plus profit share and bonuses
Hours: 35 hours per week (Part-time options available, minimum 21 hours)
Employment Status: Permanent contract

We are excited to announce an opportunity for an Associate Solicitor to join our client's dynamic Family Law Team. As part of a progressive organisation committed to employee ownership, we are looking for a dedicated solicitor with a passion for family law to help our client grow their practice. The team is consistently recognised in legal directories, and they pride themselves on delivering exceptional client care.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse caseload covering various family law issues, including pre- and post-nuptial agreements, divorce, cohabitation claims, financial remedies, and private children law.
  • Provide supervision, support, and training to junior team members.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to contribute to blogs, articles, and directory submissions.
  • Participate in business development initiatives by attending events and building relationships with professional referrers.
What Our Client Is Looking For
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years' PQE or equivalent in family law, with a strong focus on modern family law issues and high net worth clients.
  • Skills: Excellent client care, communication, and organisational skills. Ability to work autonomously while managing your own caseload.
  • Character Traits: A positive, hardworking attitude with a keen interest in professional development and staying updated on legal advancements.
  • Technology Savvy: An interest in embracing new technologies and solutions in family law.
  • Accreditation: Resolution or similar accreditation is highly desirable.
Essential Characteristics
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Commercial awareness, including understanding the significance of time recording and billing.
  • Punctual, reliable, and meticulous, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Capability to prioritise workload efficiently.
