Job Description

Neway International have a vacancy for a Family Gateway Contact Officer to join our client based with Cardiff Council.

Location: Conference Centre, Eastmoors Road, CF24 5RR (Hybrid - usually 2 days in office per week)

Start Date: 24 November 2025

End Date: 23 February 2026 (likely to be extended)

Hours: 37 per week (09:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday)

Pay Rates: PAYE: £14.14 per hour Umbrella/Ltd: £17.98 per hour

The Family Gateway is an innovative and progressive service within Cardiff Council's Children's Services. It provides high-quality information, advice, and assistance for babies, children, young people, families, and professionals across the city.

The service uses a family-centred, strengths-based, and inclusive approach to identify the most appropriate support for wellbeing needs. Teams work collaboratively with professionals and partners to ensure support is delivered at the right level and at the right time.

About the Role

As a Family Gateway Contact Officer, you will:

  • Provide information, advice, and assistance to families and professionals.
  • Manage and co-ordinate multiple referrals (no caseload responsibility).
  • Communicate via telephone, web chat, and email.
  • Work collaboratively with Early Help and partner agencies to ensure effective support.
