The roleAs a Facility Support Engineer, you'll play a vital role within our Nuclear Facilities Operations and Maintenance Team, ensuring that assets, infrastructure, systems and controlled environments across Devonport remain fully operational, compliant and safe.
Day-to-day, you'll work across several facilities, supporting diverse maintenance projects and adapting to business needs in a dynamic, high integrity environment.
- Support the Facility Operations Manager by controlling and coordinating work packages across multiple facilities, assets and plants.
- Carry out regular Health and Safety checks to ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times.
- Schedule and deliver Planned Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance and defect rectification activities.
- Interface with internal and external customers to support facility upgrades, maintenance delivery and operational readiness.
- Ensure all tasks meet the required safety, quality and compliance standards.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential experience of the Facility Support Engineer- Experience working within a Maintenance, Facilities or Project environment.
- Experience coordinating and managing subcontractors for maintenance delivery.
- Strong IT literacy, including Microsoft Office.
- Confident communicator with strong organisational and customer engagement skills.
- Ability to problem solve, think outcomes, work effectively in a team and lead when required.
- NVQ Level 3 in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.
- Any additional training or certifications in facilities engineering, asset management or maintenance planning would be advantageous.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
