London Fire Brigade (LFB) is London's fire and rescue service - one of the largest firefighting and rescue organisations in the world. We are here to make London a safer city. Employing over 5000 people across our operational team (our firefighters), control (our call handlers who answer 999 calls), fire safety and our non operational team (our team who work behind the scenes to support our front line services, which includes Fleet, IT, HR, Finance, Procurement, Communications team and many more).
Working as part of the property team, the Facilities Officer will support the commercial relationship of key suppliers ensuring that contract requirements are met and that work is delivered to a high standard. It is an integral role in ensuring the properties are maintained to support the operational response. The role is customer facing and you will be expected to be a presence at the fire stations, carrying out audits, and building relationships internally and with suppliers. You will need to communicate any issues and provide recommendations for improvements to service delivery.
You will need to be an experienced facilities professional with a background in customer and supplier relationship management. An understanding of and significant exposure to M+E engineering and fabric maintenance is also crucial. Most importantly, you will be a confident communicator that is capable of writing reports and carrying out audits. A H+S qualification is also preferred.

EligibilityApplicants must:
- Be an experienced property and facilities management professional proficient with the application of asset and risk management strategies (Essential).
- Have significant experience in M&E engineering and/or building fabric maintenance.
