Overview

Job schedule: Full time, 42.5 hours a week, 08:00 to 17:00 Monday - Friday, Permanent

Purpose

Step into a pivotal role as Facilities Manager, taking full ownership of one of a key customers Hard FM contract. You'll oversee planned preventive maintenance, remedial works and reactive repairs across the portfolio, managing delivery through direct engineers and specialist subcontractors. Your focus will be on maintaining compliance, meeting KPIs, ensuring profitable delivery and keeping CAFM systems accurate and up to date-all while supporting premium service throughout the entire asset lifecycle.

Responsibilities Contract Mobilisation
  • Take the lead on all mobilisation activities, ensuring a smooth and successful transition to operational delivery.
  • Develop and deliver mobilisation plans, compliance registers, asset data and CAFM system setup.
  • Collaborate with procurement to secure subcontractor agreements and establish performance measures and reporting frameworks.
  • Drive mobilisation milestones to completion-on time, on budget and aligned with client expectations.
Operational & Technical Management
  • Oversee the delivery of hard FM services across 24 sites nationwide.
  • Maintain statutory, regulatory and contractual compliance at all times.
  • Manage PPM, reactive maintenance and remedial works to meet SLAs and exceed expectations.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure quality, safety and value for money.
  • Champion CAFM system accuracy for robust reporting and data integrity.
  • Own the contract's financial performance, ensuring profitability and cost control.
  • Manage forecasts, variations, quotations and remedial works with strong commercial oversight.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and organic growth.
Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Lead by example in promoting a positive safety culture across all operations.
  • Ensure RAMS, permits to work and statutory documentation are always in place and up to date.
  • Uphold company and client HSEQ standards in every activity.
Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Act as the senior point of contact for all technical, operational and commercial matters.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with client stakeholders at every level.
  • Deliver clear reporting, performance reviews and proactive communication.
  • Provide a customer focused service that drives satisfaction, retention and growth.
Leadership & People Management
  • Inspire and lead a team of engineers, supervisors and administrators to deliver excellence.
  • Set clear expectations, performance targets and compliance standards.
  • Support training, development and succession planning within the team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.

  • Operational Discipline - Highly structured, focused on execution, consistency and data driven performance.
  • Commercial Acumen - Strong understanding of margins, pricing strategies, forecasting and best practice sales processes.
  • Clear Communication - Confident, concise communicator who can engage clients and stakeholders effectively.
  • Attention to Detail - Accuracy and precision in everything you do.
  • Asset Compliance Knowledge - Understanding of asset lifecycles and compliance requirements.
  • Tech Savvy - Experience using CAFM systems and maintaining accurate data.
  • Proven Leadership - Senior level experience managing hard services within an FM service provider.
  • Multi Site Expertise - Skilled in managing subcontractor delivery models across multiple locations.
  • Contract Mobilisation Success - Demonstrable experience in mobilisation and steady state delivery.
  • Relationship Builder - Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
  • Technical Knowledge - Solid understanding of building services (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, fabric). HNC/HND in Building Services desirable but not essential.
  • Health & Safety Qualified - NEBOSH or IOSH Managing Safely certification.
