Job Description
Facilities Assistant

Contract: Government, Permanent

Location: Warrington, WA4 1HT

Hours of work: 40 hours per week

We are seeking a Facilities Assistant to work closely with the Assistant Facilities Manager, supporting all aspects of Facilities Management service provision. The role sits within a team responsible for delivering clear outcomes for customers and stakeholders, with a focus on high quality, visible service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as front of house, welcoming visitors and supporting them appropriately
  • Ensure security procedures are followed at all times
  • Deliver support services including porterage, meeting room management and managing the FM mailbox
  • Support inductions for new starters, including Health & Safety and environmental inductions
  • Log, facilitate and oversee reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits
  • Support compliance with environmental, HSEQ and related standards
  • Assist with audits, including security audits
  • Provide general administrative support and assist with low to medium risk projects
Professional and Personal Competencies / Qualifications
  • Experience working with customers and soft services
  • Ability to work confidently with a range of Microsoft packages
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with different levels of management
  • Ideally some experience completing compliance checks and reports (training can be provided)
  • A positive attitude with a proactive, can do mindset
  • IOSH qualification desirable, though training can be provided
  • Qualifications relating to soft services would be beneficial
