EYFS Teaching Assistant

Milk Education is working with a primary school in Lowton (WA3) who are seeking a full time EYFS Teaching Assistant to support the class teacher in an EYFS setting.

The role starts immediately and is a temporary, long term role until July 2026.

The school requires an individual who is caring, patient, nurturing and accommodating to all children's needs. Hours of work are 08:30am 15:30pm, Monday to Friday.

The EYFS Teaching Assistant will help the class teacher with the day to day set up and running of the EYFS classroom, ensuring children stay on task and reach their learning potential. Responsibilities include preparing resources for the day, providing a patient and nurturing learning environment for every child, and supporting children with SEND whose additional needs range from Autism to Complex Needs.

Teaching Assistant Role & Responsibilities

• Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
• Support children consistently while responding to their individual needs
• Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
• Deliver catch up sessions

Teaching Assistant Level - Non negotiables

• Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, within the past two years
• Must have a passion for education
• Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
• Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
• Must be reliable and punctual
