Job Description

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS teacher looking for a rewarding long term role from September? We are working with a range of welcoming and well established mainstream primary schools across Lambeth who are seeking passionate Early Years teachers to join their teams for the new academic year.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long term position where you can make a real impact in the crucial early stages of children's education, within supportive and collaborative school environments.

About the role

As an EYFS teacher, you will play a key role in supporting children's early development, delivering engaging, play based learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. These roles offer stability and consistency, allowing you to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

Positions are available in both Nursery and Reception classes, with opportunities ranging from one term placements to full academic year roles.

Key responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high quality, engaging lessons in line with the EYFS curriculum
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
  • Support children's social, emotional, and academic development
  • Assess, track, and report on pupil progress
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SEN staff, and senior leaders
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers
  • Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching within EYFS (Nursery or Reception)
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • A nurturing and creative approach to teaching
  • Commitment to supporting every child's individual needs
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
